Kiosk Mode
Kiosk Mode runs a full Firefox browser on your server and displays the StartOS dashboard on a directly connected monitor. It is intended for debugging and initial setup when no other client device is available.
Warning
StartOS servers are designed to run headless. Kiosk Mode consumes at least 1 GB of RAM running Firefox. Unless you specifically need it for troubleshooting, leave it disabled.
Enabling Kiosk Mode
Navigate to System > General Settings > Kiosk Mode and click Enable. If no keyboard layout has been set, you will be prompted to select one first. A restart is required to apply the change.
Disabling Kiosk Mode
Click Disable, then restart when prompted.
Changing Keyboard Layout
When Kiosk Mode is enabled, your current keyboard layout is displayed. Click the edit icon to select a different layout.
Note
Kiosk Mode may be unavailable on certain hardware.
